The use of precision fabricated Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) are the keys to improved thermal performance and superior strength. According to a recent analysis conducted by University of Tennessee and the U.S. Dept. of Energy at Oak Ridge National Testing Laboratory the whole-wall thermal performance of SIPs are 58% more energy efficient than comparable stick-framed construction. Additionally SIPs are also 2-1/2 times stronger than stick-framed walls due to the use of 2 sheets of Oriented Strand Board, which are laminated to the Expanded Polystyrene Foam core.
