Air-dried Western White Wood 7" logs are used for the sunroom frame. The neutral color of Western White wood logs allow log homeowners to match a wide variety of finishes. Locally applied stains can match the desire finish of new construction or existing log home structures. |
From Challenges to Results... Creating a log sunroom presented many challenges for our design team due to the typical shrinkage that most log home walls experience. In order to accommodate the shrinkage of most log home walls, the Sunrise Log Sunroom is designed as a freestanding sunroom. Our freestanding sunrooms incorporate a structural glu-lam ledger beam which is supported by the gable wall posts. The log sunroom attaches to the log home with lag bolts and specially machined slots that allow the wall to shrink as necessary without affecting the structural integrity of the sunroom or the permanent attachment to the house. |

Dear Mr. Lind: We would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation of your company's log sunrooms. We purchased a log sunroom last summer, and installed it with the assistance of your experienced, professional, and courteous crew. The beautiful design, high quality, and expert "fit" of the logs all greatly contribute to the appearance of our log home, and enhance its value. The time you took to "match" the logs to those of our home has resulted in a finished product that looks like it was designed with the house, rather than added later. I use our new log sunroom as my office, and am fond of calling it our "rainroom," due to our local Washington climate. I must say it is as enjoyable working on a rainy day, listening to and watching the rain pelt the sunroom, as it is on a sunny one. Our sunroom survived the winter rains without any leaks. Another advantage to using the sunroom as an office is the natural daylight, which allows me to work even on cloudy, rainy days without any artificial light - a real bonus, given our looming energy crisis. We also would like to thank you for all the personal attention you provided, making us feel like special customers. We felt like you didn't rest until we were satisfied with the product and the installation, which gives us great confidence in recommending your company to anyone interested in the purchase of a sunroom.
